In a significant move, Twitter has initiated an Ads Revenue Sharing program, enabling select users to receive payments for their tweets. Users and professional creators can participate in the program by signing up for the “Ads Revenue Sharing” and “Creator Subscriptions” programs. However, the program is currently only available to users who meet specific criteria.

According to reports, several users have already received substantial payouts through this program. Notably, one user received a remarkable sum of Rs 21 lakh. However, it is important to note that Twitter’s Creator Ads Revenue Sharing is currently supported only in countries where Stripe provides payout services. As a result, users in India are unable to earn money through tweeting at present, although the social media platform might reconsider this policy in the future.
Twitter emphasizes that the Ads Revenue Sharing program will be rolled out gradually to an initial group of users, who will receive an invitation to accept payment. To be eligible for the program, users must be subscribed to Twitter Blue or Verified Organizations. Additionally, they need to have achieved a minimum of five million impressions on their posts for each of the last three months. Furthermore, users or creators must meet Twitter’s Creator Monetization Standards, which include factors such as age, country, and activity on the platform.
Twitter plans to launch a dedicated portal or page for the application process related to ad revenue sharing in the near future. It is worth noting that Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, is also eligible for the program as his profile is verified and meets all the necessary parameters. When asked about his potential earnings, Musk stated that he had contributed his share to the “creator payout pool.”
This move by Twitter comes at a time when it faces competition from Threads by Meta, another social media platform. By introducing the Ads Revenue Sharing program, Twitter aims to retain its loyal creators and users. Currently, Meta does not offer a similar ad revenue sharing program.
Noteworthy Payouts Received:

Users like RaptalkSK and levelsio have openly shared their experiences and the money they have received through the Creator Ads Revenue Sharing program. Their posts indicate the substantial impact of this program, with users expressing their excitement about being able to pursue their dreams by dedicating themselves to creating tweets.
