The Samsung Galaxy M44 with the model number SM-M446K has surfaced in a Geekbench listing, revealing some exciting specifications. The device is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 888 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and will run on the latest Android 13 operating system.
Galaxy Jump 3 for Korea Telecom
To provide some context, the Galaxy M33, which came with an Exynos 1280 SoC, was launched in Korea as the Galaxy Jump 2, exclusively for Korea Telecom. Given that the SM-M446K model number in the M44 has the letter “K,” it is speculated that the Galaxy M44 will soon make its way to Korea as the Galaxy Jump 3.
Switching from Exynos to Snapdragon
It’s worth noting that the recently launched Galaxy M34 in India is powered by the Exynos 1280 SoC. However, Samsung has made a significant jump in performance with the Galaxy M44, shifting from the Exynos 1280 to the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC, which was used in the Galaxy S21 series in certain markets back in 2021.
Samsung’s Mid-range M Series Meets Snapdragon 8 Series
Notably, this is the first time Samsung has decided to incorporate a Snapdragon 8 series SoC into its mid-range M series. Previously, Samsung launched the Galaxy M33 globally, but it remains uncertain whether the Galaxy M44 will be available in markets outside of Korea.
Snapdragon 888 SoC in India
Samsung had previously launched the Galaxy S21 FE in India, which was powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, almost a year after releasing the Exynos 2100 version in the country.
