More trouble seems to be brewing for Kamal Nath in the election year as the BJP has obtained an old Public Library document of US Diplomacy. The document claims that in 1976, Nath disclosed to Consul General Korn that India is making two more atomic bombs and has plans for one more peaceful explosion. BJP leaders have shared the leaked documents of WikiLeaks to target Kamal Nath.
BJP’s Demand for Action
Now, the saffron party is hounding Nath and demanding an explanation from him. Minister for Medical Education Vishwas Sarang said that clothes of Nath are tainted. “Whether it is the case of anti-Sikh riots 1984 or this new disclosure, it is more dangerous.”
Accusing Nath of compromising the country’s security, Sarang stated that if such a person tried to peep inside India’s security, it is a serious issue. “It’s a matter related to the country,” he fumed.
Call for Nath’s Removal
Once a close aide of Nath and now a BJP spokesperson, Narendra Saluja, demanded that Congress leadership should remove Kamal Nath from State Congress President after the new disclosure about him. “No patriot is going to sit mum after this disclosure,” he asserted.
Saluja also mentioned that prior to this incident, “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans were raised during the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi in Madhya Pradesh under Nath’s leadership.
Pinching Kamal Nath, he said that leaking secret information of the country is a serious offense, and stern action should be taken against him. Another close aide of Nath, who is now BJP spokesperson, Pankaj Chaturvedi, demanded an explanation from Nath over the entire development.
The leaked document has caused significant trouble for Kamal Nath in the midst of the election year. The BJP is intensifying its attack on Nath based on the old report disclosed by the Public Library of US Diplomacy. Nath now faces demands for an explanation and potential removal from his position within the Congress party.
