Indian Railways is set to launch three new Vande Bharat Express routes in July, expanding the network of these high-speed trains. The routes include Gorakhpur-Lucknow, Chennai-Tirupati, and Jodhpur-Sabarmati.
The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is expected to be flagged off on July 7, with the trial run already underway. The train will provide a much-needed service between these two cities.
On the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also likely to launch the Chennai-Tirupati and Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express trains. However, the exact date and location of the launch are yet to be finalized.
With the addition of these three trains, the total number of Vande Bharat services will increase to 52. Each train consists of eight coaches, but the number can be adjusted based on passenger demand.
The Gorakhpur-Lucknow route will benefit commuters and facilitate travel between the two cities. The Chennai-Tirupati route aims to cater to the influx of pilgrims visiting Tirupati from Chennai, complementing the existing Vande Bharat Express from Secunderabad to Tirupati. The Jodhpur-Sabarmati route will serve tourists and business travelers, connecting Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The introduction of these new routes reflects the Indian Railways’ commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing efficient transportation options across the country.
