The construction of a 1.08 km, 2-Lane Ramban Viaduct has been successfully finished in Jammu and Kashmir. This viaduct, with a total cost of ₹140 Crore, is located on the Udhampur-Ramban section of NH-44. Additionally, another 2-Lane viaduct running parallel to this structure is nearing completion and will be opened soon.
Enhanced Connectivity and Improved Safety
The 26-span viaduct incorporates a combination of concrete and steel girders, serving a dual purpose. Firstly, it significantly improves connectivity in the Ramban Bazar area, ensuring smoother movement of vehicles. Secondly, it enhances the safety passage of vehicles and facilitates seamless traffic during the annual Shri Amar Nath Yatra on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway 44.
