Exciting news for Kerala’s railway transportation as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to announce the launch of Vande Bharat trains in the state on 25th April. This development is set to revolutionize rail travel in the region, and the services are expected to operate between Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.
The Vande Bharat trains are known for their high-speed and advanced features, and the upcoming launch in Kerala has garnered much anticipation. However, before the trains can operate in the state, certain maintenance work is required to ensure the safety and efficiency of the service.
Maintenance Upgrades Underway
As per a report by Mathrubhumi, concerns have been raised regarding the incomplete maintenance work needed to run the trains in the state. Railway tracks and signal systems require upgrades to ensure the seamless functioning of the Vande Bharat trains. Fortunately, the repair work is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, allowing the trains to run smoothly.
Manufacturing of Vande Bharat Coaches
Integral Coach Factory in Perambur, Tamil Nadu, has already manufactured three rakes consisting of eight coaches each for the Vande Bharat trains. The manufacturing capacity is impressive as around four to five rakes are produced every month. This highlights the government’s efforts to promote indigenous manufacturing and provide world-class facilities to passengers.
The introduction of the Vande Bharat trains in Kerala is a significant development, and the upcoming launch is generating a buzz among travelers. The high-speed and modern features of these trains are sure to provide a comfortable and efficient mode of transportation. With the necessary maintenance work underway, it is expected that the Vande Bharat trains will run seamlessly in the state, improving connectivity and contributing to the growth of the region’s economy.
