A part of the GTA 6 map found in the massive leaks has resurfaced, but it has been revealed that parts of it are not real despite claims otherwise.
In September 2022, Rockstar Games experienced a significant leak that provided the world with the first glimpses of GTA 6. Approximately 90 videos were briefly available on the internet before being taken down by Rockstar and Take-Two.
These leaked videos showcased the game’s early development stage, revealing the two main characters, new mission features, and the game’s setting. Although Rockstar has not officially confirmed it, the setting is rumored to be Vice City and an expanded area inspired by Florida.
Sections of the leaked map have also made their way online, but not all of them are legitimate.
GTA 6 Map Leak Resurfaces, but It’s Not All Real
Various hoaxes have emerged, with players using different games and fabricated locations to claim that they are from GTA 6. However, a new hoax has been circulating on social media.
If you haven’t seen it yet, the circulating image shows a zoomed-in section of the map that appears to be a coastline. The left side of the image, depicting water and docks, is authentic and was shown in the leaks from September.
However, the right side of the image, where the lines are less chaotic and more spread out, is likely an AI-generated addition to the hoax and is not part of the original leak
These pictures have been shared on social media in various ways, with some individuals falsely claiming to have taken a quick snapshot of a developer’s computer at the Rockstar offices. This claim is simply not true.
The fact that Rockstar and Take-Two have not taken action against these pictures is a clear indication that they are not genuine, as they have actively pursued those who share actual leaks. So, it is advised to be cautious when encountering claims of having insider information on GTA 6.
