The developers at HoYoverse have not yet announced the official release date for the Fontaine patch, but it is expected to go live on August 16, 2023.
Before the release of the Genshin Impact 4.0 patch, HoYoverse will be conducting an official live stream to provide players with a sneak peek of the upcoming characters, weapons, the expansion of the Fontaine map, and the highly awaited new chapter of Archon Quests.
What is the expected date for Genshin Impact 4.0 Special Program Livestream?
The breathtaking Fontaine region showcased in the teaser image will be revealed to players through a Special Program Livestream hosted by HoYoverse. Typically, Genshin Impact special programs are scheduled approximately 10 to 12 days before the release of a new patch. Therefore, fans can expect the 4.0 Special Program Livestream to be scheduled around 8 am (UTC-4) on or around August 4, 2023.
During the live stream event, HoYoverse is expected to unveil the new characters, weapons, events, and other important information related to version 4.0 of the game. They will also share three unique redemption codes that players can use to claim the following rewards:

- Hero’s Wit x5
What to expect from the 4.0 Fontaine update?
The highly anticipated 4.0 update of Genshin Impact will introduce the expansive Fontaine map, allowing players to finally venture into the land of justice and embark on exciting explorations.
