In the Claim to Fame season 2 episode 1 Two Truths and a Lie segment:
- Monay said that her celebrity relative is her father, who’s an athlete who won an Emmy.
- She then stated that lying is her strategy.
During episode 3, Monay’s team lost the Claim to Fame episode 3 challenge, so her headshot details were revealed:
- A fedora
- A choker made of a chain with a hot pink lock
- A cloud with a lightning bolt coming out of it
In episode 5, Gabriel pulled Monay’s Wine Room puzzle clue at her request. The clue contained symbols including:
- A calendar with Saturday circled in red
- A crescent moon with Zs representing sleep
- A satellite
- An ampersand
- A car jumping a curb
- A finger pointing at you
- A person with his arms raised
- A comedy mask
Monay Is Comedian & Actor J.B. Smoove’s Daughter
Monay is comedian and actor J.B. Smoove’s daughter, Jerrica Brooks. J.B.’s name is actually Jerry Angelo Brooks. Among J.B.’s many film and television credits are his 2003-2005 stint as an actor and writer for Saturday Night Live and his role as Leon Black on Curb Your Enthusiasm, which he has played since 2007. He won the 2021 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for his role as Chief Billy Bills in Mapleworth Murders. This means that Monay’s two truths were that her father won an Emmy, and the lie was that he’s an athlete. J.B. is often seen wearing fedoras as well.
Monay’s Instagram page doesn’t currently have any evidence in her posts that she’s related to J.B. However, J.B. is following her account. In addition, J.B. has posts about Monay on his Instagram page, including one in which he celebrates her on her National Daughters’ Day.

However, if Gabriel shares her clue with anyone who knows which actor starred on both Saturday Night Live and Curb Your Enthusiasm, it will be very easy for them to figure out that she’s related to J.B.
