Aaliya Siddiqui, the estranged wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has been evicted from the ongoing reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2. The eviction came as a surprise during a mid-week elimination. Aaliya, along with Jiya Shankar, was nominated for eviction this week. She is the second contestant to be evicted from the show, following Puneet Superstar.

Aaliya Siddiqui joined Bigg Boss OTT 2 as the eighth contestant, aiming to redefine her public image. Known mainly as a star wife, Aaliya wanted to showcase her true self and emphasize her role as a producer. However, she has often made headlines due to her legal disputes with Nawazuddin.

During a task inside the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, fellow contestant Pooja Bhatt advised Aaliya to stop playing the victim card. Pooja shared her own experience of dealing with a broken marriage and encouraged Aaliya to move on. Pooja also nominated Aaliya for eviction, citing her confusion about Aaliya’s personality and a particular incident where Aaliya appeared to provoke a fight while enjoying a slice of another contestant’s birthday cake.

Host Salman Khan had previously reprimanded Aaliya for discussing her personal life on the show.

Bigg Boss OTT 2, which began on June 17, features contestants such as Avinash Sachdev, Palak Purswani, Bebika Dhurve, Jiya Shankar, Falaq Naazz, Akanksha Puri, Jad Hadid, Cyrus Broacha, Manisha Rani, Abhishek Malhan, and Pooja Bhatt.

Social media influencer Puneet Superstar, known for his comedy videos, was the first contestant to be evicted from the show within 24 hours of its premiere.
