When the teaser for Bigg Boss OTT 2 was released, Abhishek Malhan instantly became the center of attention. As news spread that the YouTuber would be joining the show, he trended on social media platforms and received an outpouring of encouragement. During the show’s launch, host Salman Khan revealed that Abhishek was the most-voted contestant on the list. This immense show of love and support from his fans helped alleviate his anxiety and provided him with a sense of calmness.
Abhishek expressed his gratitude towards his fans, stating that their positivity had a profound impact on him. He spent the night before the show reading their comments, even though his face had not yet been revealed. Their unwavering support and recognition of his presence on the show created a wave on social media. Abhishek’s fans encouraged him to embrace the challenge and assured him that they would handle everything else.
Regarding his decision to join Bigg Boss OTT 2, Abhishek shared that it was not initially part of his plan. Although he was approached to participate in the TV show, he was hesitant due to its long duration, as it would mean his YouTube channel would be inactive. However, upon learning that Salman Khan would be the host and hearing the assurance from the show’s creators that it would be bigger than ever, Abhishek eagerly accepted the opportunity.
While Abhishek acknowledged that participating in Bigg Boss OTT 2 would allow him to connect with a new audience, he emphasized his commitment to the streaming platform and his roots as a content creator. Unlike many others who aspire to pursue acting, Abhishek aims to bring more people to his existing content. When asked about the competition from TV actors, who often have a large fan base, Abhishek confidently stated, “The era of TV is gone. That’s all I can say.”
With cameras capturing every moment inside the Bigg Boss house, the show offers audiences an opportunity to get to know their favorite contestants better. As a well-known vlogger, Abhishek believes that there won’t be any surprises for his followers, as they already know him well. However, he pointed out that the show would reveal different aspects of his personality. While his fans have only seen him in happy and lighthearted situations, Abhishek admitted that he possesses a side capable of confrontation. He expressed his willingness to defend himself if someone wrongs him, even though he generally dislikes negativity.
As the first YouTuber in the history of Bigg Boss, Abhishek Malhan also hopes to make history by winning the show. His sole objective in entering the house is to stand beside Salman Khan with the trophy in his hands after six weeks.
In addition to Abhishek, other contestants on Bigg Boss OTT 2 include Pooja Bhatt, Avinash Sachdev, Palak Purswani, Manisha Rani, Aaliya Siddiqui, Akanksha Puri, Jiya Shankar, Falaq Naaz, Cyrus Broacha, Jad Hadid, and Bebika Dhurve. Puneet Kumar, also known as Puneet Superstar, was evicted on the first day due to compatibility issues with the other housemates.
