Emily Blunt, the star of the highly anticipated film Oppenheimer, has sparked controversy and attracted criticism for her apparent resemblance to the Queen of Pop, Madonna.
Fans of The Devil Wears Prada actress have raised concerns about her changed facial features, speculating that she may have undergone cosmetic surgeries.
During the UK premiere of the biographical thriller film, which was cut short due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, fans took to Twitter to compare Blunt’s appearance with one of Madonna’s iconic black outfits.
“Is it just me or does Emily Blunt’s face look different?” questioned one fan, while another tweeted, “Her face looks different…”
Some fans wondered if Blunt had undergone facial surgeries, with others suggesting she had received Botox injections. “Did Emily Blunt have some sort of surgery?” questioned another Twitter user.
“Just noticed the Botox on Emily Blunt’s face,” wrote one disappointed fan.
Expressing concern, another fan commented that Blunt “doesn’t look like herself anymore” due to what they perceived as “too much Botox.” They further compared her to Madonna, who has faced criticism for her appearance since the 2023 Grammy Awards.
In a 2019 interview with Women & Home, Blunt expressed her disapproval of plastic surgeries and embraced imperfections. “I appreciate that every line on someone’s face bears a story and is the result of experience,” she stated. The A Quiet Place actor added, “Striving for an impassive perfection isn’t something I ever found beautiful or have tried to achieve myself. I believe in taking care of your skin and general health, but women who spend too much time trying to look perfect lose some of the magic about them.”
