Today, on June 4, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023. The exam took place in two shifts, with the first paper ending at 12 pm and the second one at 5:30 pm.
Candidates were required to bring their JEE Advanced admit card and other necessary documents to the exam venue. Admit cards containing specific instructions for the exam day could be downloaded from the official website jeeadv.ac.in.

- Provisional answer key: June 11
- Feedback and comments on provisional answer keys: June 11 and 12
- Final answer key and result: June 18

Shift 2 (Mathematics): The Mathematics section in shift 2 was of moderate difficulty. The distribution of questions based on topics is as follows:
- Vector & 3D: 1 question
- Area Under Curve: 1 question
- IC: 1 question
- Differential Equation: 2 questions
- Matrices: 2 questions
- Probability: 1 question
- Function: 1 question
- Inverse Trigonometry: 1 question

Shift 2 (Chemistry): The Chemistry section in shift 2 was rated above medium difficulty. The distribution of questions based on topics is as follows:
- Organic Chemistry: 7 to 8 questions (more weightage to Organic Chemistry this time)
- Inorganic Chemistry: 5 to 6 questions (more focus on Class 11 topics)
- Physical Chemistry: 3 questions (Thermodynamics: 1 question, Electrochemistry: 1 question, Physical Chemistry: 1 question)

Shift 2 (Physics): The Physics section in shift 2 was considered difficult based on students’ feedback. The distribution of questions based on topics is as follows:
- Electrostatics: 1 question

- Kinematics: 1 question
- Units and Dimensions: 1 question
- Liquids: 2 questions
- EMI: 1 question
- Modern Physics: 1 question
- Optics: 2 questions
